A new app on the Android Market promises to bring digital versions of the Augmented Reality cards that come with the Nintendo 3DS to users’ Android smartphones. Included is content found on the six cards that ship with the device, such as Question Mark Block, Mario, Link, Kirby, Samus and the Pikmin. Putting the app on an Android tablet will give users larger augmented reality characters by pointing the 3DS’s camera at the screen that shows the AR image.
The app will also allow two AR objects at the same time, with the physical card being one and the screen being another. Early feedback from those who uses the app says that the app is prone to crashing. The developer has promised to look into this issue.
The free app is now available on the Android Market. [via Kotaku]
